Dead or Alive: Dimensions is a 3D fighting game that can be played in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Its story mode, called Chronicle, follows the events of the series up to Dead or Alive 4. It presents the key conflicts, rivalries, and character stories from different points of view.
A Story Told Through Different Fighters
Instead of focusing on only one character, the story moves between different fighters and conflicts. Much of it revolves around the tension between the ninja clans and the powerful DOATEC organization, while characters like Kasumi, Hayabusa, Ayane, and others become tied to the tournament in different ways.
Kasumi’s Link to Alpha-152
Kasumi’s connection to Alpha-152 remains one of the more important parts of the plot, but the mode also gives players a broader look at the world and rivalries of Dead or Alive.

Fast Fights Built Around Reading Your Opponent
The gameplay keeps the series’ quick, close-range combat intact. Players can attack with punches and kicks, use throws, or turn an opponent’s move against them with holds.
Made for Handheld Play Without Feeling Watered Down
Since the game was made for handheld play, Dimensions includes touch screen commands that let players perform moves more easily.
Touch Controls for Easier Combos
This makes the game more welcoming for new players, while standard button controls are still available for those who prefer a more traditional fighting game experience.
More Than Just Solo Battles
The game also includes local and online multiplayer, allowing players to fight one-on-one against others.
StreetPass Adds Something Outside the Fight
StreetPass support adds another small feature, letting players exchange fighter data and face AI-controlled versions of other players’ characters.
