After Mario Party DS’s popularity in 2007, Island Tour is a colorful addition to the Mario Party series that brings the traditional party gaming experience to the Nintendo 3DS. Along with the recently added Boo, players may uncover a hidden ninth character by gaming using familiar characters as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, and more. Along with 81 interesting mini-games accessible in Party Mode or individually in Mini-Song Mode, the game boasts seven original boards—six normal and one unlockable. Island Tour enhances its multiplayer appeal by using AR technology and supporting StreetPass for unique minigames, therefore augmenting the experience.
