The PSP arrived in 2004 with a clear idea: bring full console-style games to a handheld that could fit in a bag or pocket. The PSP ROMs on this page are kept as individual ISO files, so you can choose one title without downloading a full collection. Some entries come from major PlayStation series, while others were built specifically for Sony’s portable system. Search by name when you already know what you want. The genre, gameplay, and region filters make more sense when you are simply looking for something different to play.

The PSP Library Rarely Felt Like a Smaller Substitute

The catalog covers fighting games, racing, football, strategy, RPGs, and action games built around longer stories. Titles such as Tekken 6, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, GTA: Vice City Stories, and Field Commander show how wide that catalog became. Portable spin-offs often had their own stories, modes, or control changes instead of copying a home-console release unchanged. Sports games and anime-based releases filled another large part of the system’s identity. The region filter is useful here, especially when checking Japanese releases or alternate versions of the same game.

Check the Game Page Before Choosing an ISO

Every game has its own page with the region, file size, emulator, release information, and screenshots. The `.iso` extension identifies the disc image, but it does not tell you which regional version you have. Language support may differ across releases, so check the region and any language information shown before downloading. This also makes it easier to check storage space before starting a larger download.

PPSSPP Only Needs the Disc Image

PPSSPP is the usual emulator for these files. After downloading a game, open the Games tab and browse to its ISO. Windows and macOS users can also choose File > Load. Pick the disk image itself, not the open or rearranged files inside.
