Pokemon SoulSilver Rom is a 57 MB USA file for NDS emulators, based on the enhanced Nintendo DS remake of Pokemon Silver. The story starts in Johto, where Professor Elm provides the new Trainer’s first Pokemon . Then the lab is robbed. That theft begins a wider quest against Team Rocket, with all 493 Pokemon to capture and Kanto opening later.
Kanto opens after the Johto quest
Johto carries the opening and the conflict with Team Rocket. Catching all 493 Pokemon remains the broad collection goal. That is a sizeable target. Kanto opens later, extending the quest beyond the first region.

Lugia receives a larger story role
Lugia was already tied to Pokemon Silver. SoulSilver brings the legendary Pokemon into the story in a larger way. The box art makes the focus obvious. But much of the original game remains in place around that expanded role.
Any chosen Pokemon can appear on the overworld
A selected Pokemon follows the Trainer on the overworld screen. That is no small visual addition. Pokemon Yellow used a limited form of the idea, while SoulSilver applies it to any one of the Trainer’s Pokemon. The remake also adopts 3D models resembling Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum on Nintendo DS.
