Forza Horizon 2 starts opening up once the festival stops feeling like a straight line of races. A championship sends you toward the next event, but there is usually something else to do on the way. You might cut across a field, pass a speed trap or pull alongside another driver and start a challenge. The setting has moved on from Colorado too, with roads and small towns inspired by southern France and northern Italy.

Forza Horizon 2 Rom is the European Xbox 360 release published by Microsoft Corporation in September 2014. Championships are the main route through the game, opening more events and giving you access to a garage of 210 cars. Leveling up can also trigger a Wheel Spin, with either money or a car as the reward.

Drifting, close calls and other risky moves can be linked into skill chains, with the points going toward perks. Cars can be upgraded for performance or changed visually with liveries, body parts and spoilers. Rewind returns from the first game, and assists such as traction control and the racing line can be adjusted separately.

The Xbox 360 release is worth treating as its own version rather than simply the weaker-looking Xbox One game. It was built from the technology behind the original Forza Horizon, while the Xbox One edition used Forza Motorsport 5 as its starting point.

That difference affects more than lighting, traffic and scenery. Some circuits, showcase races and side activities are arranged differently, and Drivatars are not part of the 360 version. Its online features are also more limited, although road trips, free roam, private races, clubs, car meets, Infected and King are still included.

The result is a version that shares the same Horizon 2 setting and car list, but not the exact same event structure or online systems as the Xbox One release. For anyone specifically looking for the Xbox 360 edition, that distinction matters more than the graphical downgrade alone.
