In Uncharted: Golden Abyss Rom, Nathan Drake searches Central American temples in a 2.58 GB USA PS Vita action game compatible with Vita3K. A drawn line can carry him across several ledges. Camera photos and hidden treasures fill his diary, while tablets need paper impressions instead.

A Drawn Line Can Finish Several Jumps

Climbing does not always mean tapping through one ledge at a time. Tap a nearby ledge and Nathan moves toward it. Draw a route across several ledges, and he follows the marked sequence automatically. Hand-to-hand combat and quick-time events ask for different gestures. Match the shown direction with a swipe to perform the move.

Some Treasure Sits Behind the Jungle

Collectibles are not always lying in an open path. Dense jungle can cover a treasure until Nathan cuts down the growth in front of it. Gems and stones may count only as collectibles. Other items point toward Marisa’s missing grandfather and the route he followed.

Nathan Cannot Carry Every Discovery Away

Nathan’s diary tracks every collected treasure and lists the pieces still missing. Yet some discoveries cannot be picked up at all.

A Photo Identifies the Locale

Certain locales can be photographed and identified with the Vita camera. Their images appear in the diary afterward, so the record grows through observation as well as collected objects.

Tablets Leave an Impression, Not an Item

Tablets and markings need another approach. Nathan cannot pick them up. Instead, a swipe copies their impression onto paper while the original stays in place. A tablet therefore asks for a different action than a collectible gem or stone.

Marisa Reads Her Grandfather’s Route Through the Clues

The story is set before Nathan meets Elena, while Victor Sullivan is already an old friend. Jason Dante brings Nathan into the temples because he needs an expert on lost treasure. Nathan is not close to Dante, but has no reason to distrust him yet. Marisa Chase, introduced as Dante’s partner, is after something more personal than gold. Her grandfather vanished during the same search. Items tied to him point toward his route and what may have happened.

Guerro Decides When the Searchers Stop Being Useful

Roberto Guerro wants the gold to finance his guerrilla army. His soldiers fill the jungle around the ruins, leaving Nathan and Marisa useful only while they advance the search. Once they stop being useful, Guerro is ready to execute them.
