Pokemon White Rom was released for Nintendo DS in 2010 as part of its fifth generation in the Pokemon series. Set in Unova region, it introduces over 150 new Pokemon while featuring version-exclusive content such as Legendary Zekrom and White Forest area. Players begin as Pokemon Trainer, capturing and battling Pokemon to become League Champion; new battle mechanics such as Triple Battles and Rotation Battles add strategic depth. Furthermore, for the first time ever it featured seasonal changes which affected encounters as well as accessibility of certain areas.
