EA Sports FIFA Football Rom

This is the EA Sports FIFA Football ROM in its original PS Vita version, packed as a single .vpk file, roughly 2.8 GB in size and from the US region. It’s the 2012 handheld release by Electronic Arts (developer and publisher), just extracted into a format your PS Vita emulator can install like a normal game.

On disk, it’s basically one tidy package: a Vita game from 22 February 2012, in VPK format, meant to be fed straight into a PS Vita emulator that supports installing apps/games from .vpk. Once you point your emulator to the file and run the install, it shows up in your game list with its own icon and title, and from that point on you launch it like any other Vita title. Because the raw file is around 2.8 GB, having a bit of extra free space for install data, cache and saves keeps things from breaking mid-install.

After it boots, you can forget about file formats and storage and just play football. This is EA’s handheld-era FIFA, not a cut-down mobile spin: licensed clubs and national teams, league and cup structures, season-style play, transfers and that early-2010s FIFA feel you probably remember from the PS3 / 360 days, just scaled to a portable system. On original Vita hardware it already looked decent for a small screen; on a decent emulator with higher resolution, players and stadiums look noticeably cleaner than they ever did on the handheld. Map the controls once to your keyboard or gamepad and it settles into a nice compact routine: jump in, play a few matches, save, close the emulator, come back to it whenever you want your “old-school FIFA on a handheld” fix.
